Research Data Day
The LUMC Research Data Competence Center invites all employees who work with or support research data to join Research Data Day. The day kicks off with a market where you can find research tools, services, and groups that are available in the LUMC. After the market you can take part in three rounds of interesting and interactive sessions where data-experts share their knowledge, showcase projects, and exchange ideas. We close the day with a networking event in De Stal, where you can discuss your insights and connect with peers and experts.

LAP is looking for new Board Members!
As a general board member, you will attend board meetings, and support the overall functioning of the board and its objectives. The LAP board currently consists of 10 enthusiastic PhD Candidates. While everybody has tasks of preference, we have board meetings every 2-3 weeks, and regular meetings with the Dean, the Graduate School, and other LUMC parties.
In return, you get to learn about the ins and outs of the LUMC, work with a diverse board of motivated fellow PhD candidates who want to make a difference for the PhD community, and you can have the chance to bring your ideas to life and see them flourish in practice! We look forward to meeting you! Send us an e-mail and we can plan a meeting to get to know each other!
PhD department representation
In several LUMC departments, PhD candidates are represented by a departmental PhD representation. Over the past year, LAP met twice with the PhD representatives to establish connections and share experiences. We will discuss the implementation of the new LUMC PhD Thesis Framework, updates from the Graduate School, developments within departments and LAP, and updates from the Graduate School and other LUMC suborganisations. PhD psychologist Newsletter
We all know how challenging it can be to ask for help, especially in the middle of a demanding academic path. The PhD Psychologist Team at the Leiden University has created a newsletter for you about the services available, and to make it easier to share this information with PhD candidates and their support networks. Webinar Copyright and Open Access for PhDs
As a PhD candidate you will have to deal with copyright in your role as a scholar, researcher, lecturer and author. What are your options in publishing (in open access)? How will you reach the greatest possible audience with your publications? What are your rights and obligations when graduating and depositing your thesis in the Leiden University Library? These and other matters involving copyright will be dealt with in this webinar.
