Dear fellow PhD Candidates,

PhD Day was a great success! Thank you all for being there and your enthusiasm. One of our PhD students, Olivier Paalvast, was present during the entire day to take photos. They turned out amazing, and you can find and download them here (use pin-code 9321 to download).

📸🎓 Are you close to your PhD defense? Make sure to contact Olivier for unforgettable memories of your day.

A message from Olivier:

Dear colleague-PhD-candidate,

My name is Olivier and I’m currently in the last year of my PhD. Besides research, I really enjoy photography and over the past six months I’ve been exploring turning this hobby into a (part-time) job. As such, I’ve photographed a number of PhD-defenses and events and would love to continue doing this in the future. Are you close to your PhD-defense and would you like to have photos taken at that event? Feel free to reach out for more information or portfolio images of what you can expect. Thanks! Contact: info@olivierpaalvastfotografie.nl

Kind regards,
Olivier

Best wishes,
The LAP Board

Tip: New Research Guide under development
On Albinusnet a new Research Guide is currently under development for easy access to all your research-related questions. Make sure to check it out, and if you're missing something, you can contact the initiator.

'Profkip': a conversation about PhD supervision

Discuss it with everyone involved in doctoral programmes, from PhD candidates to full professors and HR departments. The event will be held on 18 May, at the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam.
