❗ Upcoming meeting for Departmental PhD Representatives ❗
Last year, three meetings were held with departmental PhD representatives and LAP to connect and exchange experiences. Continuing this initiative, a new meeting will be organized Tuesday, 2 June, 12.00 – 13.00 in T-00-012 (Research Building/Building 2).
This session will focus on the implementation of the LUMC PhD Thesis Framework, as well as updates from the Graduate School and other LUMC suborganisations. In addition, it will provide an opportunity to share developments within departments and LAP, and to continue strengthening collaboration. Representatives who have not yet received an invitation but would like to attend are warmly encouraged to contact us.
Tip: New Research Guide under development
On Albinusnet a new Research Guide is currently under development for easy access to all your research-related questions. Make sure to check it out, and if you're missing something, you can contact the initiator.

'Profkip': a conversation about PhD supervision
The Young Academy has launched the Profkip campaign to start a conversation about better supervision, greater equality of opportunity, and less work pressure. Academics are invited to talk about recognising PhD supervision as a core task and evaluating the quality of supervision, the grant system and how to improve it. Discuss it with everyone involved in doctoral programmes, from PhD candidates to full professors and HR departments. The event will be held on 18 May, at the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam. Register here to come and join the conversation.
